Foundation Asset Management (FAM)

Foundation Asset Management (FAM), based in Stockholm, is an asset management company that is wholly owned by the Wallenberg foundations.

Foundation Asset Management manages the assets and donations of the three largest foundations - the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation, and the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation - by means of direct ownership and management and consultancy agreements.

Foundation Administration Management, a subsidiary of FAM, also administrates other Wallenberg foundations and the donations for all the foundations.

Our vision

FAM's vision is to promote scientific research and education for the benefit of Sweden by being a committed, long-term, discerning and value-adding owner of successful companies. This vision is also to be achieved by managing research and educational funds efficiently and responsibly, with a view to supporting and strengthening the all-important position of research in society.

Our mission

FAM's mission is to ensure that the Wallenberg foundations remain Sweden's most respected private funder of scientific research and education. To date, the foundations have donated more than SEK 13 billion for research and scholarship programmes, of which SEK 4.5 billion over the last five years.
